Landon Rives, LPC-MHSP
I am a licensed therapist in Tennessee (license #4140), with 10 years of experience working alongside those who feel stuck in life and are conflicted about what change may mean for their lives, or in their particular situations. In my work with individuals, this theme of feeling stuck has been narrated within the lives of those affected by depression, anxiety, addiction, compulsive behaviors, self-sabotage, avoidance, ambivalence, grief, and trauma.
I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Humanistic Psychology into my therapeutic approach.
Said in so many different ways, we only really can change when the pain of change seems less than the pain of staying the same. Whatever story you assign to your life, creating a space to acknowledge the cost of change, while supporting the courage to do so, is where I believe I am most beneficial for my clients.
